home: where you live at a particular time.

to me, this definition isn't exactly right

my trip to texas was amazing and i loved every second of it.

 i was, however, excited to come home and sleep in my own bed.

and although i came home and was sleeping in my own bed,

i was missing something--

this fine gentleman.

he's in Ohio on a business trip and i'm here all by myself.

so yes, i am "home"

but it won't be "home" until he gets here.

we went home.
it was wonderful.
we spent 10 days with our families.

Wednesday: drove from Lake Forest, CA to Cedar City, UT.
Thursday: arrived in Highland, UT at 11:00 am,
ultimate frisbee with brothers,
arrived in Bountiful, UT 7:00 pm.
Friday: Tucanos for Seth's graduation. 
Then graduation. 
Cap was taken away for a smiley face that was taped
on top by my mother.
Saturday: hung out with Tara and the kids.
Sunday: Seth's ordination and Riley's home coming talk.
Dinner at the Collins.
Cabin with the family.
Monday: Classic Huntsville Memorial Day program.

lunch with the Wood's. Fireball.
Tuesday: temple square trip with Tara and the kids. 
Met Daddo for lunch.
got a parking ticket.
Dinner with Kent, Connie, Tara, Steven, 
Mommer, Daddo and Blake.
Wednesday: Sweet Cake stop. 
Coconut cupcake, carrot cupcake with cream cheese frosting. 
 both were way too good.
Meet Otticelli {pronounced Aht-a-chel-ee}, our
new hamster. 
Thursday: gardening, hanging out with family, friends came to visit, home-made ice cream.
Friday: Kennecott Copper mine.
New break pads. more home-made ice cream.
Saturday: goodbyes, JCW's, tears, the open road.
Thanks Derek and Sindy. We love your 
beautiful St.George home.
Sunday: through Vegas and back home. a few tears.
a walk to the duck pond made everything better.


{i love and miss you all}

what did you do this weekend?

I got to see this girl and her husband.

It was so good to them and spend all Friday night laughing.

Saturday brought a 22 mile bike ride to the beach.

And a relaxing night with my best friend, Blake.

{i loved it--and next weekend i'll be h.o.m.e}

we made it.
and moved in--mostly.
now i'm waiting for something to do.

i miss home.
i miss my family.
i miss the cold, crisp
days of Utah winters.

but i've learned some things,
while being away.
-blake can make me perfect hot cider
when i'm not feeling well.
-he hugs me every time he sees me cry.
-he holds me when i cry myself to sleep,
covers me in blankets to keep me warm.

I miss you, Utah life, but i'm so glad
i never have to say goodbye to him again.
