Halloween and Weekend with Becca

my lovely sister came down to spend the weekend with me.

on friday we:

 we went to Laguna Beach

where we tanned in the sun and listened to the waves roll in.

 

 on saturday, before blake flew in we went to sushi for lunch! yum!

saturday, after our ward "trunk or treat" we went to a great party at the Easton's. The food was great but the costumes and decorations made the party!

so i went to texas...

i went to texas on wednesday night {arriving at 1 am...sorry dan!}

thursday morning dan and i went grocery shopping and then spent the afternoon hanging out with danika and her roommates.

after their practice we went to Main Street for dinner.

saturday we had tacos for breakfast, katie and i went running with Ryan while dan was at the alumni game, and then we went to the river walk.

after the river walk we went to Toy Story 3 at a dollar theater

after the movie we went back to dan's apartment where i was hoping to see some of her roommates/teammates. they were gone way before we got there. thanks jordan  :]

  

on sunday we went to stake conference and then drove by the San Antonio temple. It was so pretty with the stained glass windows.

katie left sunday afternoon.

so after the boys soccer game, a little homework, and the Amazing Race, it was time for bed.

now i'm home...but it was such a fun trip. thanks for having us dan!

friends, furry and non

this weekend we were proud to host Cody Tate and Bo Winder! they flew in friday to go to six flags and then came to spend the night with us. after Cody took Bo to the airport early saturday morning, we went out to breakfast and then to a dog show.

they were very talented dogs and although i wanted to leave the park with one...it didn't happen.

it maybe have been lousy weather but we still had lots to do!

Saturday night= Knott's scary fam

knott's scary farm= very scary.

 ok, so maybe I only went in 2 haunted houses {this being the first}

but for me...that was huge.

i hate being scared.

hate-hate-hate it.

 

but with people dressed like this following you,

loud noises, creeper people {those attending the park-not the ones working there}, clowns, and screaming surrounding you...

wouldn't you be scared?

i think i broke blake's hand in the haunted houses. thanks to him and the Ohlwiler family for toughing it out with me.

5 days of birthday

if you didn't know...my birthday was yesterday.

but, since we started out celebrating my birthday on friday 

i'll start there as well.

thank you to all who participated in the 5 days of birthday! i had such a great time. thank you to my amazing husband...i really couldn't have asked for a more perfect birthday. i missed all of my family but i know you all celebrated despite the absence of my presence.

i've been waiting

this is my fridge, covered with great friends and their {soon to be}husbands. 

in order to post this post,

i had to wait for a few wedding announcements!

first of all, i realize that most of these invitations are old.

but, since i don't get to see my friends/family a lot

i leave their pictures up to see their beautiful faces.

so maybe i've been holding out

1.) We have made some amazing friends down here. we love them a lot and i haven't blogged about them--not even once.

2.) there are some awesome people in our ward and even though they may be a few years our senior (who isn't older than me down here?)we still had a blast with them on friday night.

first we start with the Dunn's. Josh and Lauren.

Such a fun couple! they have the most adorable family!

Lauren is an impeccable bowler and Josh is about as good as me.

next we have the DeHart's. Brock and Kamra.

with a family of boys they are always on the go

but they were up for some big bowling.

last but not least, we have our good friends, the Easton's.

Matt and Rachel. (so maybe i didn't get a picture of both of them

and then i stole their engagement picture off of facebook. what are you going to do about it?)

we are with this pair almost every weekend! with their laid back lifestyle, great taste in movies, food and music there is never a lull in conversation or activities. we even played Tennis for 3 hours on saturday (along with bowling on friday, of course)!

Balboa Island

this weekend was full of football.

byu football,

alabama footbal,

all sorts of football.

but, once the football games were over 

and the cafe rio was consumed,

we went to Balboa Island with

 Caitlin and Logan.

well, i've been up to a lot lately.

i had a best friend's wedding-

4th of july with best friends-

thank you Adam and Kristina for coming to celebrate the 4th with us!  With you there it wasn't as hard to be away from my family.
