Dear World, I have an announcement: I have been accepted into nursing school. I start in {about} two weeks on October 1st at Western Govenors University. It is an online program with my labs and clinicals in local settings and hospitals. The program is small--there are only 12 of us. The school has a non-traditional way of educating the students. At the beginning of each semester a "pre-assessment" is taken to determine how much information the student already knows on th subject. For example, some of the first classes are math, anatomy and physiology. Once I have taken the test on the courses, a study plan is devised based on what I already know and understand in those subjects and what I need to improve on. Once I have completed the study plan, tests and essays, I will take a "final". If I pass then I can continue onto the next courses, provided my labs and clinicals permit. It is a two year program in which I will received my bachelors in nursing. I can't wait!
