while it was snowing in Utah on Memorial Day {come on, snow? on Memorial Day?}
we had to rough it out here in California. the sun was out and the weather
could not have been better for a hike. we recruited some friends and took a short drive
up El Toro road which lead us to Modjeska Canyon.
this is where it all started.

we found lots of wildlife along the way.
blake loves to catch things, as you can see.

quick picture by the first pool
Logan and Caitlin by "waterfall number one".
we weren't sure if this was the end of the hike but it sure felt like we had gone 5 miles.
luckily the boys went up ahead to find a deep pool {to which we will be returning} and the final water fall.
we finally got to the real water fall
Logan climbed to the top
although it was longer than we expected we still had a blast.
great hike + great friends + great waterfall= great day!
thanks guys. let's do it again soon!
picture of Blake holding the snake freaked me out. I see snakes a lot when I run...ew ew ew. I used to be fearless when it came to crawling slithering things...but I'm a chicken now. Don't know what happened. Looks like a fun day!
ReplyDeletehave we told you guys how much we love you? cause we do. i'm thinking we should head up there again pronto. except this time logan will use manners and less potty humor.
ReplyDeletehaha, I love that blake has several pictures all with him holding something slimy. Miss you :)
