missing memorial day

Dear Dad,

Sorry Blake and I missed memorial day. We spent the day hiking to a beautiful waterfall with wonderful friends. While we weren't in Huntsville spending time with the Wood's, we did listen to "Green Barret" and "There's A Star Spangled Banner" on our own. Obviously it was not nearly as twangy or loud as we're used to but they served their purpose nonetheless.

I was surprised at how much I missed seeing your headstone, even though I hate it. It only brings memories I've tried to forget. On the other hand it somehow brings me closer to you. Closer to my heritage. Closer to my family.





I'll be in the temple today if you have time to drop by. I'll be waiting to feel your presence.

I miss you. A lot.
