Dear September,

I'm very glad you're here. However, I feel like you pushed August quickly out of the way to present yourself to me. You see, August and I were just getting on speaking terms. After Trek, Lake Powell and my surgery August slipped right through my fingers and into the past. Don't get me wrong--I love you and all the excitement you bring with college football, the beginning of a new school year, and of course my birthday--I just feel like August was cut short.

Perhaps you could make up for it? I need to prepare for school and a new life of being a married student.

Once again I am happy and excited you are here. Let's have a great time in 2011!
