i got this idea from Caitlin.
i copied her exactly so i take no credit for this wonderful idea.
she just hasn't blogged about it yet so i'm taking the chance to show the world
what she thought up.
this is a lovely jewelry tree.
they are {or can be} a little expensive for my taste and making it was simple and fun.
what i did to make it:
1.find an old, dry branch at your house or local park
2.spray paint the "tree"
3.go to goodwill {DI} and find an inexpensive vase to put the "tree" in, as well as an antique mirror to place rings and other jewelry that cannot hang on the tree.
4.fly to utah, find your husband's sand from Maui that he brought home {don't ask me why} and fill the vase at the bottom to stabilize the "tree".
5.time to put on your cute jewelry on the "tree"!
now that i'm finished i realized that i want more cute jewelry to put on the "tree", so beware. making the "tree" might end up in more expenses {buying new jewelry} than you thought.
very cute. I want one.
ReplyDeleteAhh. You're so cute. Thanks for the shout out. I was inspired only by what I saw elsewhere. The tree looks fabulous. Can't wait to see it in person.
ReplyDeletep.s. Welcome back!
