Giving Thanks

Thanksgiving is a time to be thankful for all that you have.
i have so much to be thankful for:
my amazing family
great friends who invite us to their Thanksgiving
jobs
talents
the gospel
and so much more.

but this Thanksgiving i was especially thankful for Blake.
and since i don't tell him nearly enough how thankful i am for him
i wrote him a letter.
i won't share all of it with you but here is a small portion of it:

7.) Patient—there are so many different ways that you are patient—but especially patient with me. When I am mad or sad or frustrated you always know and even though it takes me time to come around and talk about it, you are always so patient with me and you (usually) know how to make me feel better. I am thankful you are patient.

{a turkey from one of my sunbeams!}
this Thanksgiving we didn't go home--
we went to Santa Barbara!
Thanks to Logan and Caitlin, Blake and  I had a place to celebrate Thanksgiving and a family to spend it with. Besides turkey and all the trimmings on Thanksgiving day we:
-went to Solvang, had lunch followed by aebleskivers, and walked around this cute town

 our trip also involved running on the beach,
going to see the tar pits,
endless hours of Dr.Mario,
Santa Barbara State Street,
chicken and lamb curry
and, of course, watching these little guys!

thank you so much Logan and Caitlin. We had a great time with you and your family.

{Santa Barbra--we'll be back someday}

  2. I love aebleskivers, although they are very difficult to spell. I am thankful for incredible sisters-in-law that married my incredible brothers. Love family.
