while waiting in line to get a picture copied for my sunbeams
on Sunday, Blake and I were approached by
a lady in our ward. the conversation went
like this:
"did you guys find a ripe pineapple?"
{blake and i had been looking for a pineapple
saturday night}
"uh...yes, we think we did"
{sounding a bit confused}
"i watched you guys for a while. while you were picking one out. it was so cute. you would pick one up,
smell it, and hand it to the other"
{this would have been fine and "un-creepy" had she said "hi" to us in the store--she did not}
she continued:
"oh i love new married couples"
i did not know that picking out pineapple was something "cute" to do with your new spouse--but
apparently it is.
NOTE: don't creepily watch people pick out pineapple...and then tell them the next day that you were watching them. stop being a creep or stop watch people pick out pineapple.
Totally creepy. She should have at least said hi that would have made the situation a little better.
ReplyDeleteHaha she's just an old lady. That is a little weird though, I admit.
ReplyDeleteI think her looks would help determine if she's a creep or not.
ReplyDeleteI guess you need to be more careful when picking your produce. Would you leave now, then you can be here sooner! (or Highland, but still here)
ReplyDeleteBe careful because the creepy lady might just be reading your blog as well. Also...who smells pineapple to see if its ripe? Just pull out one of the leaves and you know if it comes out easy its a ripe one. Just a little advice...
ReplyDeleteBy the way that was Logan that wrote the previous comment... Love Caitlin
