fri.day.

this is where i spent my day,
walking the beach with a new friend,
talking, sitting, watching, listening.

this is also where i over-heard a man,
sitting on the empty lifeguard tower,
telling his sorrows to the waves.
they seemed to throw them back at him.

i am so blessed.
i have food, clothes, shelter, and someone
who comes home to me every day to tell me
how much he loves me and misses me while
he's at work.
the man on the beach did not.
