Forget Me Not

For some odd reason, Blake has brought upon me the curse of forgetfulness.

Here is a short story to illustrate:

Oct. 30th 2009--
Finally going to see Blake after
a month of being away from each other.
His parents were to take me to the air port,
so I drove to Bountiful to see them.
After packing my bags away in the truck
we all jumped in and headed towards SLC int'l.
Half way there i realized I was forgetting something really important: my cell phone.
It was either turn around, get my phone and maybe miss my flight
--or the unthinkable:
leave my phone behind.
After debating, (not by me) it was decided to leave. my. phone.
I started to panic inside:
how would Blake find me at the air port?
what if I was stranded in california?
how would I get in touch with Caitlin to hang out on friday?
how would I call my family?
more panic.
We got to the air port.
I hid my emotions and thanked them for the ride.
Finding a pay phone (and figuring out how to use one),
I called my mother to tell her the news.
She reassured me that everything would be fine.
I boarded the plane and met some wonderful friends.
After landing I tried to call Blake...I don't know his number.
I sat and waited on a bench.
No communication.
I was shut off from I world that was right in front of my face.
It got dark.
I sat beneath a light.
His car pulls up.
I wave.
He gets out.
A long awaited embrace.
(I love those embraces).

And I forgot my camera in California... :)
